Surgery Update!

Rick had his surgery on Friday, the 20th, and the doctor's deemed it a success. The complicated surgery took about 5 1/2 hours but Rick looked great when he returned to his room. He was able to come home on Sunday, the 22nd, and is resting comfortably. He is looking forward to attending the benefit dinner on Saturday, the 28th, and being able to see his friends and family. We appreciate all of your support and prayers throughout this journey and are looking forward to getting the Cave Speedway back up and running for the upcoming season!!

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. The dinner menu is roasted pork loin, roast beef, scalloped potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, rolls, assorted desserts, coffee, tea, and water. If you have questions or would like to donate to this event email Vickie Williamson Seal (Rick's sister) at dvaseal@embarqmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you while we "Rally Round Rick"!

Update on Rick!

Rick is scheduled to undergo surgery at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA on Friday, April 20th. He has completed chemotherapy and radiation treatments and his last PET scan showed no residual cancer which is a very good thing. The mass on the side of his neck has gone down considerably but the remnants of it are still wrapped around his carotid artery. This is what will be addressed during surgery on the 20th.

Rick and his family truly appreciate all your thoughts and prayers and words of support. His doctors remain very optimistic. We will try to update you as often as we can.
