Sagi Brings Season to a Close by Sweeping Up


The Ol' Waylon Hunerd closed out the 2010-2011 racing season at the Cave Speedway Saturday night, March 12th, with Alan Sagi getting in touch with his "country roots" and claiming the win. Mike Parrill, Sr. was the fast qualifier with a lap time of 2.35 seconds. Ol' Waylon Hunerd results: Alan Sagi, 1st; Tyler Williamson, 2nd; Frenchy Bennington, 3rd; Paul Stump, 4th; Mike Parrill, Sr., 5th; Junior Cooper, 6th; and Rick Williamson, 7th.
Junior Cooper was the fastest Pure Stock qualifier with a lap time of 2.69 seconds. Pure Stock Feature results: Alan Sagi, 1st; Frenchy Bennington, 2nd; Paul Stump, 3rd; Vickie Seal, 4th; and Junior Cooper, 5th. *NOTE: Mike Parrill, Sr. was kind enough to work the computer and let Vickie take over his Pure Stock to get some lap time. Rick Williamson was the fastest qualifier in the Sprint division with a lap time of 3.12 seconds. Sprint Feature results: Alan Sagi, 1st; Frenchy Bennington, 2nd; Junior Cooper, 3rd; and Rick Williamson, 4th.

"Ol' Waylon Hunerd" Added To Schedule



Track owner, Rick Williamson, has added one last racing event to close out the Cave Speedway season. The "Ol' Waylon Hunerd" is scheduled for March 12th beginning at 7:00 p.m. . $25 goes to the late model winner. No entry fee! Bring your pure stocks and sprints too for one last night of racing action. Our current list of drivers qualified for the "Race of Champions" are Junior Cooper, Joe Shifflett; Alan Sagi, Tim Hottle, and Jimmy McFarland. Should we have a new winner for the "Ol' Waylon Hunerd" the field will be set for the next Race of Champions.

McFarland Lays Claim To The Bentonville 200




The last trophy race of the 2010-2011 season at the Cave Speedway is now history. Jimmy McFarland, fast qualifier with a lap time of 2.22 seconds, claimed his first feature win at The Cave by fighting off a late charging Mike Nail to take the checkers. Heat #1 Winner - Jimmy McFarland. Heat #2 Winner - Junior Cooper; Heat #3 Winner - Tim Hottle. C-Main Winner - Mike Nail; B-Main Winner - Brian Massey. Run down of the feature is: 1st - McFarland; 2nd - Mike Nail; 3rd - Tim Hottle; 4th - Mike Parrill, Sr.; 5th - Brian Massey; 6th - Junior Cooper.
