Parrill and Lineweaver Tops At The Cave




Defending track champion Mike Parrill, Sr. of Winchester, Virginia kicked off the new racing season at The Cave Speedway with a win Friday night topping a strong field of 17 racers. After setting fast time of 2.634 in qualifying, Parrill used his pole position to lead the Phil and Jerry's Heat Race #1 flag to flag.

Null's Machine Shop Heat Race #2 was won by J.P. Welsh after taking the lead from Joe Shifflett on Lap 5 and led until the checkers.
Dark Moon Technology Heat Race #3 had three different leaders with Dwain Welsh taking the lead from Tyler Williamson on Lap 14 to earn the win.

C-Main Results: Tyler Williamson, Jason Lineweaver, Mike Franklin, Lee Canfield, Mikey Franklin, and Steve Welsh

B-Main Results: Frenchy Bennington, Joe Shifflett, Andrew Tyson, Tyler Williamson, Rick Williamson, and Matt Williamson

The Feature found Frenchy taking the lead on Lap 2 from his 4th starting spot and lead until Parrill powered past on Lap 87 and led the rest of the way putting him in Affordable DJ Victory Lane for the first win of the season.

In Pure Stock action Jason Lineweaver picked up the win over Mike Franklin, Joe Shifflett, Frenchy Bennington, Nick Canfield, and Mikey Franklin. Heat winners were Joe Shifflett and Mikey Franklin with the B-Main win going to Mike Franklin.

Racing action continues Friday night, November 9th with Late Model and Sprints starting at 7:30 P.M. Saturday afternoon, November 10th, at 1:00 the Sprints will star in the first of four scheduled events of the year comprising the "Dixie Cash Series".
