Parrill is Opening Night Winner!
An off-season chassis change, a new granddaughter, and new carpet at home seems to have lit a fire at Darkmoon Motorsports over the summer months as Mike Parrill, Sr. topped the largest field ever at The Cave Speedway Friday night, October 20th. Seventeen cars took time with Matt setting quick time at 2.544 seconds, earning him the pole position in Heat Race #1. He would use that to hold off Lee and Mike II for the win in Heat #1. Heat #2 saw second fastest qualifier, Rick, winning over Tyler and Steve. Heat #3 found 5th fastest qualifier, Mike P., pick up the win over JP and Mike F. So with three heat winners set in the feature it was time for the Mains with Nick picking up the win in the D-Main. Both the C-Main and the B-Main were won by Jeremy after a tire change and full night of "thrashin". JP and Tyler also advanced out of the B-Main. The Feature started like it ended, with Mike P. taking off from the 3rd starting position and it was basically over as he led the 1st lap over Matt and Rick. Matt would hound him for the first 3/4 of the race but could never close the deal. When asked if he had anything for him, two words from Matt summed up the night......"He's flying!". Thanks to all my racers. Be safe and we'll see you on Friday, November 3rd!
